Get Involved

plantersWe are looking for volunteers who can give a regular time commitment to help us out and learn about organic growing on a commercial scale. A lot of jobs are not that glamorous and a willingness to get your hands dirty and an ability to work independently are definitely needed.

The main tasks will include:
  • Help harvesting the produce
  • Weeding and hoeing
  • Turning the compost bays
  • Muck spreading and bed preparation
  • Planting and seed sowing
  • General site maintenance
  • Occasional help with events and school visits

We are currently looking for a volunteer interested in helping out with our educational programme, please get in touch if this is something that sounds up your street. This is a great chance to get some experience of environmental education, training will be provided.

Community task days
We will also be organising a number of weekend volunteer community task days where we will have one or two big tasks (such as restoring our pond or clearing areas of scrub) that a larger group can get stuck into. Keep an eye on the events page for more details.
